We are very happy to report that we have finalized plans for an in-person 2021 GBAC October 13-16, in downtown Las Vegas, at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel.
No doubt many of you are concerned about health, safety and attending the GBAC in person. Hopefully Covid infection rates will continue to drop, vaccination rates will climb, and the risks associated with participating in large group gatherings will be minimal come October. But the City of Las Vegas and Caesar’s Entertainment (the owners of the Flamingo) have been dealing with Covid and Covid precautions for well over a year now and have successfully put in place an abundance of protocols and other measures designed to minimize Covid exposure and risk. Rest assured, the GBAA Board and GBAC planning committee take our member’s health and safety very seriously, yet we are confident we can have a safe, well-attended, and ultimately fun and successful 2021 GBAC. We hope you’ll agree and decide to attend.
We explored the possibility of online/remote symposium options similar to those provided by the SAA this year, but due to low interest and the expense and logistics involved with providing this option, we decided to go with a traditional in-person conference. For those of you who preferred a remote option, we apologize, but we just don’t have the resources to make that happen.
REGISTRATION. To attend the conference, please be sure to register at your earliest convenience. Conference costs are $105 for regular members and $75 for students. Please use this link to complete your reservation. Once you are registered, and after June 1st, you will receive your GBAC Dashboard link where options for the banquet, field trips, and a workshop will be available. We ask that you complete your conference registration by September 14, 2021. After this date, an additional $25 fee will be assessed for all late registrations.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS: The GBAC planning committee has secured a discounted block of rooms at the Flamingo Hotel for Oct 13-16. Please use this link to make your reservation. We recognize that there are a lot of lodging options in Las Vegas. We ask, however, that you please support the GBAA by staying at the Flamingo using the GBAC-reserved rooms. It is important we meet our contractual obligations to Caesars, the hotel owners, and the only way we can do that is by you opting to stay in the conference hotel.
