Despite recent setbacks in regards to the pandemic, we are excited about the upcoming GBAC in Las Vegas and are confident we can put on a successful, engaging, and safe conference, especially if all attendees adhere to CDC guidelines. To be absolutely clear: we are going ahead with the in-person conference and are looking forward to seeing you in Las Vegas, Oct 13-16, 2021.
If you plan on attending or giving a paper, please remember to register for the conference, book your hotel room, sign up for the banquet, field trips, and workshop, and submit your paper or symposium. Once you have registered for the conference, you may log in to the GBAA website with your username and password to submit presentations, reserve your spot on field trips, the workshop, and the banquet dinner.
The deadline for presentation, poster, and symposium submission is fast approaching – August 15th. Early conference registration ends September 14th.
For those of you who are on the fence about whether or not to attend in person, we will be recording every paper in each symposium and making the recordings available online after the conference is over to people who have registered for the conference.
As a final note, please check your spam folders, especially if you work at a university or at a state or federal agency. We’ve been sending out GBAC-related emails from an email service that shows up in your email inbox as sent from “gbaa.gbac@gmail.com.” If you see an email sent from this address, please move it out of your spam or junk folder, or mark it as “not spam” or “not junk,” which should re-set the permissions for this address so that future emails from the GBAA/GBAC show up in your regular email inbox.
Thanks – and see you in Vegas!
Chris
